Escape Marrakech for the day to discover waterfalls and Berber villages
The Ourika Valley is the closest Atlas Mountains escape from Marrakech - perfect for a refreshing day trip. Just an hour's drive brings you to a completely different world of green valleys, cascading waterfalls, and traditional Berber villages. The valley becomes increasingly scenic as you climb higher, with terraced fields and walnut trees lining the river.
The highlight is Setti Fatma village with its famous seven waterfalls. Enjoy a scenic hike to reach multiple waterfalls cascading down the mountainside. Have lunch at riverside restaurants with mountain views, visit local markets on Mondays, and experience authentic Berber hospitality.
